Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) – Gluteoplasty

What is a gluteoplasty?

It is a recommended procedure for people who have hypotrophy of the buttocks or little development of the same. This surgery has the purpose of projecting and enhancing its volume in a harmonious and aesthetic way. There are two recommended techniques:

  • Fat infiltration: The injection of fat in the buttocks is indicated when the patient presents accumulations of fat in the abdomen and/or other parts of the body. Liposculpture is carried out and the extracted fat is infiltrated into the buttocks area, resulting in the projection and volume of this area. This procedure is also known as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
  • Silicone prosthesis: If the patient cared for does not have enough fat accumulations to perform the gluteal lipoinjection, it is necessary to support the procedure with anatomical prostheses. For the correct location of the prostheses, an incision of approximately four centimeters is made in the intergluteal groove, below the gluteus maximus muscle, thus achieving the objective of projection and volume.
